I am very grateful to see the amazing contributions from the student community globally to OSGeo. This is very inspiring to see their volunteer work . GeoForAll is committed to provide geoeducation and Digital economy opportunities to all .

We are planning to have a GeoForAll meeting at FOSS4G 2019 to discuss and plan ideas for the future. It will be similar to FOSS4G 2018 GeoForAll meeting [1] and aimed to bring together colleagues from GeoForAll labs globally to discuss and plan actions for the future . Having FOSS4G 2019 in Romania will be a great opportunity for us bring together (esp. for all GeoForAll labs in Europe , this is a great opportunity to meet) to plan ideas for expanding OSGeo in School education through Teacher training programs.

Andreea Marin (Faculty of Geography,University of Bucharest) [1] has kindly agreed to be local contact for the GeoForAll meeting at FOSS4G 2019. Andreea worked to establish the first Romanian Open Source Geospatial Lab at the University of Bucharest.

May I request that colleagues who are planning to be at FOSS4G 2019 to please volunteer as co-organiser of this meeting and help Andreea for this. Please contact Andreea directly if you can help with this. I want to thank FOSS4G 2019 LOC colleagues for their work and efforts. I wish you all success.

Best wishes,

Suchith
