Building on the 2015 Mexico City Declaration, GEO Week will focus on accelerating the delivery of GEO’s Strategic Plan and will bring the GEO community together to scale-up the impact of Earth observations. As a Program Board member of the Group on Earth Observations (GEO) , I would like to thank all colleagues from all over the world who contributed for the 2020-2022 GEO Work Programme. You can download the full implementation plans for each proposed activity at our website<http://www.earthobservations.org/gwp2020_dev.php>. Details at http://www.earthobservations.org/gwp2020_dev.php
Many of the GEO Week 2019 sessions are live streamed so those interested can join us at https://www.earthobservations.org/geoweek19.php?t=full_schedule
I welcome you to join us for the GEO Week 2019 and the GEO Ministerial Summit in Canberra, Australia (4-9th Nov 2019). Canberra means ‘meeting place’ in Ngunnawal, the local indigenous language. Recognizing the history of the land and its traditional custodians, GEO Week will bring together diverse people and cultures to support and sustain our planet and communities.
Let us all work together to ensure Earth observations drive productivity & inclusive growth across our economies.
