Dear OSGeo Community members,
Please consider this e-mail as a gentle reminder to our previous e-mail
[1]. With the great news of OSGeo being accepted as mentoring organization
for GSoC 2021 [2], now "We need you!"
If you want to participate proposing ideas for GSoC 2021, you just need
to send us (admins: <gsoc-admin at osgeo.org>) the URL for your project's
ideas page.
Remember that every idea should indicate:
• A title
• A description
• 2 mentors
• A test for the students to submit to your evaluation. The test
aims at evaluating if the student is capable for the project, so
please design the test having in mind the skills required to complete
the project.
*For Possible Mentors:*If you are willing to act as a mentor for a project
[3], fill in this form:
*For Students:*
If you are willing to participate as a Student and contribute to
an OSGeo project then this is a high time:
1. To go through the OSGeo project ideas list [3]. (Check it
frequently, as it is being updated regularly with new ideas).
2. Contact the project mentors via the developers mailing list or their
e-mail addresses to discuss the project idea/ideas of your interest.
3. Start working on the proposal draft and share it with the community
as soon as possible to receive feedback and comments.
Please note that the student application period starts March 29, 2021 18:00
UTC and all the student proposals must be submitted before April 13, 2021
18:00 UTC. Refer [4] for more details.
Thanks! Please forward this e-mail to your developer mailing list.
Kind regards,
Your OSGeo GSoC Admins
