Uniting the world to tackle climate change

Uniting the world behind science

The COVID-19 threat has shown that governments can act swiftly and resolutely in a crisis, and that people are ready to change their behaviour for the good of humanity.

It's time to raise ambitions for transformation. As countries worldwide prepare for recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic, 2021 is a pivotal moment to transform to more sustainable, more resilient societies and economies, informed by the latest scientific knowledge.

Throughout this decisive year for climate and biodiversity policy, we're sharing the latest content from our network of scientists and change-makers via Transform21, a dedicated global science portal.

The International Science Council (ISC) is working together with the incoming UK Presidency of COP26 to curate material related to the conference.

TRANSFORM21 is managed by the International Science Council. The ISC is a non-governmental organization with a unique global membership that brings together 40 international scientific Unions and Associations and over 140 national and regional scientific organizations including Academies and Research Councils. The vision of the Council is to advance science as a global public good. Scientific knowledge, data and expertise must be universally accessible and its benefits universally shared. The practice of science must be inclusive and equitable, also in opportunities for scientific education and capacity development.
