<div>Dear all,</div><div><br></div><div>by means of this post I would like to obtain some ideas for a project to be realised by me.</div><div>In particular im interested in ideas for the choice of technology.</div><div><br>
</div><div>The project is a viewer for mainly a set of large grids with some base maps. Additionally it should be possible to perform simple on-the-fly analysis.</div><div><br></div><div>In short the requirements are:</div>
<div>- easy to use standalone and portable application (offline use at a standard windows machine)</div><div>- fast displaying of multiple grids at different scales</div><div>- point identification of grid values</div><div>
- fast on the fly summation of a selection grid (for specific AOI; summing the complete extents would take too long)</div><div><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre">        </span>*<span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre">        </span>grids have varying extent and cell-size</div>
<div><br></div><div>My idea is to use existing solutions which can be tuned, im thinking of a viewer (standalone or offline browser application) in combination with a calculation backend (GDAL?)</div><div><br></div><div>Thanks in avance for your help!</div>
