[OSGeo-Edu] Mapping Your Data: Open Tools Serving Open Data

Yesterday, I put together a 4 minute video demonstrating how to load GIS
data into QGIS, style it according to an attribute value, export to a
mapfile, and serve via MapServer to OpenLayers.

You can view the video online at:

  http://openlayers.org/presentations/mappingyourdata/

(Requires Flash.)

The wiki page that goes along with it is at:

  http://trac.openlayers.org/wiki/MappingYourData

I think this falls under the umbrella of:

"""
creating curricula to teach skills necessary for people to actively
participate in supported OSGeo software and data projects.
"""

Is this the kind of thing the education committee has interest in
creating and maintaining? What is the best way to associate this
material with the project?

Regards,
