[OSGeo-Edu] Metadata Chapter of the Free GIS Books

I've started work on the content of the Metadata chapter of the FreeGIS
Book. I had a couple of more questions. :]

Is there a wiki page or other forum where we can define common terms
that we will use in the book. For example, I am going to use the term
geospatial metadata instead of the more generic term metadata to refer
to the type of metadata that often accompanies geospatial data.

I was also going to use the word "geospatial dataset" to describe a set
or logical grouping of data with some type of spatial component.

At any rate, I think we should shoot for consistent use of terminology
and jargon across the book, and I thought it would be good to have a
place where authors could discuss basic definitions and usage of
technical terms.

Also, would there be any objection to including sample lab, field, and
programming exercises that can be applied to the material being
discussed in the chapter. This would make the chapter more useful in a
classroom or self-study setting.

Thanks for your thoughts and comments.

Landon
