I'd love to see this effort develop a system that translations of other
osgeo edu material could follow. That is, establish the system using
osgeo edu subversion for the chapters/modules. This seems like an
excellent project for a capable grad student with spanish/english
language to take on as an editor, perhaps, working with Victor and Cameron.

Does anyone on this list have a student who might be able to take this
on as a kind of "thesis" effort?

Could we start thinking about a model of grad students (or even
undergrad honors students) and external committee members across
universities guiding students? what do other faculty think? i'm on one
committee with a spanish university -- i'll check there.

Cheers
Charlie
