Helena,
Thanks for this info. For the MSc in GIS programme at Nottingham, my colleague Jeremy Morley (cc in) is teaching a whole module called "GI Services" based on open source software stack. He will be uploading all the course materials of this module into ELOGeo shortly. We will add the info to the wiki as well.
Best wishes,
Suchith

Subject: universities offering courses with foss4g software
In preparation for the Geoinformatics 2012 May 21-23 in Prague and
Open Source Geospatial Research and Education Symposium October 24 - 26, 2012 in Yverdon-les-Bains, Switzerland
I am in the process of updating the list of Universities that offer FOSS4G based, semester long, university level (BS,MS,PhD) courses
(workshops, short courses and other type of educational material is on elogeo and in osgeo inventory http://www.osgeo.org/educational_content).
The preliminary update to the list of Universities and courses is available here
http://skagit.meas.ncsu.edu/~helena/grasswork/osgeoedu_courses.html
If you have time, please check it out and let me know
any additional Universities and courses that should be included
(with the relevant links that have the course info)
before we put it on the OSGEO website
http://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/University_courses_using_OSGeo_related_material
Any other updates to the existing information will be greatly appreciated.
Specifically, Arnulf or Markus, do you have any information about Universities
in Germany offering full semester courses as part of their degree curricula?
Suchinth are there any courses offered at your University that use FOSS4G?
Thank you very much for your help in making this information as complete as possible,
Helena
