[El] imageio-ext and gdal

Hi all,

as it finally turned out on Monday after last weekend's work,
imageio-ext-1.1 (i.e. r 1236 from trunk) will build and fully test fine
with an unmodified gdal-1.7.3 and it original java bindings in a FC12 or
EL6 environment, essentially augmented with JPackage-6. Regarding the
build in an EL5 environment, there are two tests from
plugin/gdal/gdalgeotiff/ failing (surefire report attached).
We will probably 
-Dmaven.test.failure.ignore=true 
for the time being and recommend "caution with gdalgeotiff in EL5
environments".
