Thanks Mathieu,

in fact I now do have an imageio-ext spec which builds and tests
steadily in an adaption of elgis-5-testing-i386. One more patch of
GDALImageWriter.java was necessary: The JNI interfaces don't seem to be
able to handle an empty List<String> ...

I am just now trying to reduce my adaptions to elgis-5-testing-i386.cfg
to a minimum and will soon send it (as well as the imageio-ext spec and
patches).
