I did not manage it :)
I gave it a try some time ago, but never got it to work...

I think I had been able to generate a package, but then it wasn't
properly installing or running. (probably due to the issues you are
now facing).
I can find it back, but I don't think that it would be useful. You are
probably already beyond what I had reached at the time.
