[El] Fwd: Error with GRASS 6.4.1 on CentOS 5

Hello,

I have built and deployed GRASS 6.4.1 in elgis-testing, but the
wxPython UI seems to be broken (see below), whereas it was working
with 6.4.0.

The TCL/TK UI seems to work:
grass64 -tcltk
(from the command line)

So, don't update grass for the time being if you need the wx interface.

Cheers,

Mathieu

Hello,

I just built and installed GRASS 6.4.1 on CentOS 5.6 and I get the
following error (GRASS 6.4.0 was working fine):

[mbaudier at alma ~]$ grass64

   import prompt
 File "/usr/lib64/grass-6.4.1/etc/wxpython/gui_modules/prompt.py", line 864

                                        ^
SyntaxError: invalid syntax
Error in GUI startup. If necessary, please
report this error to the GRASS developers.
Switching to text mode now.

Any idea of what could cause this?

On CentOS 5 (and RHEL 5 and Scientific Linux 5), the python version is 2.4.3.
We use wxPython from the EPEL repository (version 2.8.11).

Thanks in advance for your help!

Cheers,

Mathieu
