Hello,
a long overdue update of ELGIS Stable has been performed with a
rebuild of the versions that we are using for months in Testing:
- geos (3.2.2) : (uselessly) rebuilt without change when working on EL
5.6 upgrade
- proj (4.7.0) : dependencies of the sub-packages improved
- gdal (1.8.0) : upstream update, quite a few new formats supported
(see package changelog)
- postgis (1.5.3) : upstream update
- pgrouting (1.05) : upstream update
- osm2pgrouting (0.2) : introduced
- mapserver (5.6.7) : upstream update
- mapserver6 (6.0.1) : introduced
- grass (6.4.1) : upstream update
- qgis (1.6.0) : upstream update, sip and PyQt4 dependencies improved
A 'yum update' should be enough, please report any update issue to the
mailing list.
The package matrix has been updated and should reflect precisely the
current state of the EL 5 repositories:
http://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/Enterprise_Linux_GIS#Packages_matrix
We will now work on rebuilding this stable state for EL 6.
On a more emotional note, it has been exactly one year, almost day by
day, that the current ELGIS repositories were first deployed (on
August 16th 2010).
Cheers,
Mathieu
