I have found out that the system I'm to work on is EL6.
Is pgRouting available in (or going to be added to) the EL6 repositories?

I would be also interested. In fact, I'm trying to compile mapserver 6.2,
mapcache, PG 9.2 and PostGIS 2.0 as we speak on a RHEL5 instance.
I'll follow this discussion with great interest...
cheers,

The current idea was to not upgrade to new major versions for EL 5. But it's
not set in stone, depending also on how much interest is in these upgrades.
Personally, I'm preferring to deploy new stuff on EL6 machines for a number
of reasons.

Will PostGIS 2 and MapCache be added to ELGIS 5? Also will MapServer be
updated to 6.2?

I have a client who wants to set up their GIS server on RH 5. I am not
familiar with this distribution and have mostly used Ubuntu which gives me
access to the latest levels of Mapserver, and PostGIS, etc thru ubuntuGIS.
I'm looking to find what is available here to specify.
>From reading what I can find about ELGIS, I think that I would be getting
mapserver 6, postgres 8.4, postgis 1.5 and pgRouting 1.05. Is this correct?
Is the new MapServer 6.2 going to be supported here? What about MapCache
from the MapServer Team? And what about PostGIS 2.0?
Unfortunately I will not have access to the installation as that will be
done by the system administrators and I will just be telling them what we
need. This precludes much experimentation. Unfortunately we prefer the
latest whatever to provide the best experience but we will get what we get.
