[Europe] OSGeo Europe - lessons learned for OSGeo

Dear all,

this is an afterthought to yesterdays General Assembly meeting.

Eventually, all other chapters of OSGeo will reach the point where the members need to decide on how to shut operations down or how to merge with other organisations.

Sad as it is, OSGeo Europe (in its current incarnation) is ahead of the curve in this matter.

I believe it would be very benefitial for OSGeo in the long run if the currently discussed options (bankruptcy/continuation/liquidation) and processes (e.g. transfer of funds to other NGOs) get documented and preserved as lessons learned for others.
