MySQL supports curves or not?

Hi,

I suppose the FDO Developer's Guide misinforms about curve types
support in MySQL provider, but I'd like to confirm it.
Here is what FDO Dev Guide says about curves capabilities in the FDO
Provider for MySQL:

But the source code says something different:

Is this a bug?
