Hi Mateusz,

The "~`!@#$%^&()_-+=} ..." files you mention are pre-existing, not
created by the unit tests.  You can check by looking at the SubVersion
repository.  These tests verify connecting to pre-existing files
containing unusual ascii characters.

Does it test if !@#$%^&()_-+=}{[]; characters are allowed as a part of
shapefile file name?
