[fdo-internals] Request for Agenda Items for FDO PSC Meeting

MapGuide has identified sometime next week as a possible beta date. I
had planned to use advise that they use FDO build S013 for initial
testing purposes. S013 was cut earlier this week. I don't think there
will be enough time to integrate a new GDAL and get a new release in
place in time for their beta. I would advise waiting until after the
beta to integrate a new version of GDAL.

I am not aware of a need to upgrade other Thirdparty directories, but I
am open to all suggestions.

Greg,

GDAL is a bit out of date, and going to GDAL/OGR 1.4.3 would allow us to
bring in at least one important fix for ECW that I saw Frank commit
today. I'm guessing that this affects the WMS and OGR providers in
addition to the GDAL provider. Would it be possible to perform this
update before the 3.3.0 beta?

Are there any other ThirdParty tools that should be looked at?

I agree that getting OGR and the other providers into the build process
would be a very good thing.

There is one WMS RFC that I need to write and would like to have
incorporated into 3.3.0. I will be looking into this week and reporting
back to the community in short order. Other than that, I see no other
RFC's or structural changes required for this release. That being said,
I would like to enhance the PostGIS, OGR and King* Provider build
processes so that they can be built using the same mechanisms and
processes as the other FDO Providers in the trunk. This can be done
after the beta and before the final 3.3.0 release.

Finally, I do see 3.3.1 as being a bug fix release. It is not intended
to contain new features.

Greg
