Yes. I emailed Helio today and asked him to forward the relevant details to fdo-internals and when solidified, create an RFC outlining the proposal.

This is a great news.
Perhaps, if we agree to use cmake in future, we could use this
work as a basis.

Sounds great. Yes, I'm sure cmake could do the job very well for us.
