[fdo-internals] FDO 3.4.0 General Availability

Great,

does this come along with  a branch in the repository?
I think its important for the soon to be automated build processes to 
have a clear understanding of those issues.
i.e. a good understanding of how this release has been built or how it 
can be rebuild in debug mode etc...
