I don't like it, I *love* it :-)
Joins have been a pain point (performance wise) in the past. This should
greatly improve the feature join experience somewhat, especially in MapGuide
without doing view-based kludges. Sadly this probably won't improve joins
between FDO connections, but that should be a last resort anyway. At least
we now should have a performant feature join story in MapGuide because of
this RFC.
Initial support being only for SQLite is a bit of a bummer, as the way I see
it, the providers that would have the most value to gain from join support
is RDBMS-based providers (basically any provider based on GenericRdbms), but
I did see that note at the end about future enhancements, so this isn't a
really big deal.
Looking forward to this addition with great anticipation.
