This is quite possible... Can't say for sure, but we have had corrupted binary drops in the past.

Subject: [fdo-internals] Postgresql static libraries in Fdo 3.5
Hello,
When I build the PostGIS provider on CentOS 5.4, a get a bunch of missing references to symbols in the Postgresql library. I noticed that the PostGIS provider is building against Thirdparty/pgsql/lib/libpq.a. When I run "objdump -t libpq.a" I get the following messages:
objdump: dmcet.o: File format not recognized
objdump: dmceh.o: File format not recognized
objdump: dmces00135.o: File format not recognized
objdump: dmces00134.o: File format not recognized
When postgresql-devel and postgresql84-devel are installed, libpq.a is 755k and 867k respectfully. Did the static libraries in SVN get truncated?
Regards,
Trevor
