Hi Frank,

That's great news! We had some success with the win32 and win64 plugins for ECW and MrSID built by Tamas Szekeres for GDAL 1.6 http://trac.osgeo.org/mapguide/wiki/MGOS22GdalProvider. I am hoping we can do the same for GDAL 1.9.

Do you know if ECW, MrSID, JPEG 2000 and Oracle Geo Raster are being worked on for Linux? The Enterprise Linux GIS link wasn't too promising http://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/Enterprise_Linux_GIS#Formats_supported_by_GDAL

Regards,
Trevor

Trevor,

I'm willing to provide some guidance with regard to producing
a GDAL DLL compatible with plugins produced for things
like OSGeo4W - that is on Win32. There isn't much sharing
of plugins for Win64 or Linux.

Best regards,
