 There would be value in being able to optimise data for the enhanced
 spatial sort during a standard SQLite session rather than through the
 external optimisation utility.

 The basic use case for this would be a scheduled FME job that generalizes,
 transforms, and writes out new data from corporate datastores on a nightly
 basis through the generic FDO reader/writer.

 One way of allowing this would be a through custom command for optimising
 the data.  This could be triggered to run on Close through a special flag
 in the connection string.
