I have had some problems lately where my map 3d 2009 connect gets lost
after using the "create new feature from geometry" command. I discovered
that the esri field type "globalId" is not supported.. (I add a feature
from geometry and get a "cannot get GWS..." It is expecting the global id
to already be assigned but the feature hasn't finished being created and
since globalid is a required non-null the feature gets hung in the edit
set. but too late the connection is no good anymore.)
After reconnecting there is no response until map3d 2009 is restarted at
which time I get "items still in edit set". I can see the unfinished
objects in the data table but not editable and can't get ahold of them
 through any documented map commands.
The issue with globalid is particular to arcsde connections but I have hd
problems with shape connections and still no interface to get at the edit
 set.
 Thanks
 Brad
