 The reason the SHP provider still does not work on 64-bit Linux is due to
 the ShpSpatialIndex component.

 A cursory glance at the code reveals heavy usage of {{{long}}} and
 {{{unsigned long}}} data types which are different sizes on 64-bit Linux.
