Hi,
this regression problem has been recently identified and will be fixed in SP2.
On the other hand, please note the DBF specification doesn't include scientific notation.
Regards,
Dan.

Subject: [fdo-users] SHP FDO 3.3 small decimal truncation problem
Hi,
When using the FDO provider for SHP (version 3.3.0.0) with MapGuide Enterprise 2009 and Map 3D 2009 I have noticed very small numbers being truncated in decimal attribute fields.
For example the number 3.2E-08 will become 3 but a number like 0.00144 will be unchanged. This behaviour does not occur in the FDO provider for shape (version 3.2.0.0) in MapGuide 2008 and Map 3D 2008.
I have downloaded the new SHP FDO provider (3.3.1.0) from osgeo, installed it in Map 3D 2009 and the truncating behaviour is the same.
Is there a problem with the SHP provider?
Regards
