This is really a Map issue (and not an FDO issue). Wrong tree? Maybe. But we are all connected. :^)

I have been asking about connecting to an sql express (ArcSDE personal) connection from map 3d 2009. Is there any hope of the interface changing to allow the correct connection string? The personal sde doesn't use the 5151 port connection that full sde does. so a connection does not ever occur. I have also asked about using a programmed connection and it persisting into the map FDO connection dialog. Am I barking up the right tree?
