I understand that the OGR FDO provider is capable of reading GML files
only
when compiled with xerces support.

How do I know if this is the case? In Map 3D for example, same for Kings
fdo2fdo I see that the xerces.dll files are listed in the fdo folders.
However when trying to connect to a simple GML file (2.1.2 version) it
fails
to connect.

So in general how should it be possible to use the OGR provider with GML
file and specifically, has anyone succeeded in this?
