[fdo-users] Update commands

Hi Jackie,

You cannot update a field based on a calculation since the API does not offer you a method to do that.
The update command requires a FDO property value, where you may set the name and the value, but no expression may be passed, however it something definitively nice to have.

Can IUpdate commands handle computed expressions?

For example, say I have a feature class with a datetime property "MyDate"

Can I issue an IUpdate command on that feature class to set:

MyDate = CurrentDate()

with a filter: MyDate NULL

is this possible?
