Hi Andrei,
You cannot use FDO 3.5 with MGOS v2.1; they are not compatible. You need
to use FDO 3.4 with MGOS v2.1. You can use FDO 3.5 with MGOS 2.2 when
it comes out (hopefully soon).
Tom

Subject: [fdo-users] FDO 3.5 RC1 crashes MGOS v2.1
Hello,
Just tested FDO 3.5 RC1 on MGOS v2.1.
Currently I am using FDO, which comes with MGOS v2.1 install and patched
FDO
for SQL Server from Autodesk to resolve feature selection problem in SQL
2008. I raised that defect long time ago but seems that it wasn't
resolved
in FDO v3.4, so I wanted to see if that was resolved in FDO v3.5.
1. I stopped MGOS service
2. I replaced all files in:
c:\Program Files (x86)\OSGeo\MapGuide\Server\Fdo
with files from FDO download section (32 bit)
3. Start MGOS Service
4. Restarted IIS
My test server is Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard x64.
I was able to connect to the server using Maestro. But as soon as I
tried to
see Dataconnection properties or create new Dataconnection MGOS Service
stops and I saw an error:
http://n2.nabble.com/file/n4898413/FDO_v3.5.png
I also tried x64 version of FDO v3.5, but I wasnt able to start MGOS
Service
at all with it.
Then I downloaded FDO v3.5 SDK and copied all files from bin directory.
After that I was able to see some errors in Error.log
In the error log file I see lots of references to
c:\osgeo\mapguide_21\mgdev
location. Is that a problem? As my MGOS installation located in
different
directory
