[fdo-users] Conversion from Fgf to Wkb format.

The API for FdoGeometryValue::SetGeometry() says the input byte array must be
FGF.

Which suggests to me that FGF is the format that all geometries [must
be/will be] in when reading/writing through FDO. Any format conversion (if
required) would be happening at the provider/datastore level, so you
shouldn't have to worry about it.
