  The MySQL provider does not support MySQL 4 server or client. However, when the MySQL provider accesses a version 5 MySQL server via version 4 client, the generated exception message is "RDBMS:".

The following message is written to stdout:

This message should also be included in the exception message. Although cryptic, it provides a clue as to what the problem is.
