[Featureserver] connecting to PostGIS - WinXP psycopg2 install question

I am also using featureserver with xp, and have installed the following
components:

psycopg2-2.0.7.win32-py2.5-pg8.3.1-release.exe
(http://www.stickpeople.com/projects/python/win-psycopg/#Version2 )
GDAL-1.5.2.win32-py2.5.exe (http://pypi.python.org/pypi/GDAL/ - download
link is right at the bottom)

I have my features displaying from postgis perfectly through openlayers. The
only thing that I have not got working is writing edits back to the
database. I think this is because I need to build and add
simplejson-1.9.2.tar.gz to my python ( but just guessing!). Perhaps someone
else can offer some insight

hi List - Featureserver is excellent. I read the entire list archive
and played with the demo, and now want to try connecting to a PostGIS
database. Problem is I am doing my testing in windows xp, and it seems
I need to install psycopg2. My questions: is that all that's needed
for this next step? and what is the easiest way to do this?

Sorry if this is a python 101 question -  python is new for me and I
just installed python 2.5. after that I struggled to find some
information on how to install the psycopg2. An article that helped
with the overall featureserver picture is this one:

any pointers to articles or other specific advice about psycopg2 would
be a big help....
