Alternatively, can hiring an office manager be leveraged to do the accounting work and other necessary duties to alleviate the general duties from the Exec Director? Maybe this can be a part time position in the short term, the broadened into a full time position as the Organization grows.

That's understandable Tyler - no one's expecting you to be an
accountant (nor should we).
Perhaps something the board should consider is finding some means of
paying for this kind of service? I'm not sure what this would be --
but there must be bookkeeping / accounting services like this for
small organizations?
