+1 for venue, I think it's ideal
+1 for $1500 minimum spend, I don't foresee any difficulty meeting this
+1 for a break after the workshops, gives people a chance to potentially
drop their stuff off if they're staying in the area, and/or catch up with
old & new friends. Would 6-8pm also be an option?

Covering non-alcoholic drinks seems like a great idea. Maybe a bit of a bar
tab to cover a round of drinks if it works out, but as you say the details
can be worked out later.

Two hours seems good. Could possibly go a bit longer, would the venue
charge more in that case? I suppose there are options for those that choose
to party into the night...
