This is great news. I had assumed that the economic downturn and reduced
funding requirements would mean sponsorship wouldn't be an issue, but it
definitely is.

I'll bring it up to the local organising committee at their meeting this
week.

We'll need to define funding levels with defined benefits.

This could be confusing with hubs also seeking sponsorship for venues and
other costs, so careful communication and coordination will be required.
