Tyler, Gavin and I have set up the basis for the final website on a dedicated conference management system platform. We are figuring out just how to drive it, but I believe that it will be very useful in the end.
Before we go live please register at http://www.osgeo.org/ocs/index.php/foss4g/2008/user/account and try it out at http://www.osgeo.org/ocs/index.php/foss4g/2008/index . Critical comment is of course welcome. Note that the crucial content in the form of all the calls for workshops, papers, registrations etc. is not there yet. We need to get this content ready ASAP before we can launch the site. I am simply asking for you to get familiar with the site and realize the need to move fast with any content you may be responsible for. Any help, especially with some of the role responsibilities would be welcome, naturally.
I will be the main website character now that Dewald has resigned, so direct questions, brickbats and bouquets at myself.
Regards
Graeme
