[Foss4g2008loc] Google Summer of Code 2008

Hi Tim and Paul (and anyone else who's interested)

 

OSGeo has submitted their application for the Google Summer of Code [1]
and [2] but it's not too late to get your projects on and yourselves on
as mentors. 

 

This is a great opportunity for local developers and mentors and we hope
to have a SoC showcase at FOSS4G 2008 with lots of local content.

That is too bad; I was hoping for some local content at the FOSS4G
poster session. If ever there was a year to get the students going this
is the one.
