I trust that he is going on "official OSGeo business"
(you know, measuring room sizes and such), rather
than accepting "free gifts" from an as yet unselected
conference venue, which could lead to mutterings of
'impropriety' ;-)

Of course it would be entirely appropriate for the
Sydney Convention Center and Visitors Bureau to offer free
plane tickets to Sydney to people from 'northerly' English-
speaking countries, where those people live in a city
with the same name as an Australian state :-)
