Dear Cameron/Simon,
I would suggest for the proposed sponsorship page on the website that
you also add contact details for Kirsty so that any interested and
potential sponsors can both download the prospectus and contact Kirsty
directly should they have any questions.
Please therefore add a sentence such as:
To book your preferred sponsorship package, complete the enclosed
booking form and return to the Conference Sponsorship & Exhibition Sales
Executive - alternatively if you would like to discuss or explore other
avenues of involvement which may not be outlined in the Prospectus
please contact Kirsty O'Brien, Sponsorship & Exhibition Sales Executive
Tel: +61 2 9265 0700 or email kobrien at tourhosts.com.au.
Regards
Julia

Cameron,
I was planning to move the 'stay connected' stuff over to the right -
cut the text under OSGeo (perhaps?) and free up the right hand panel for
sponsor logo's

Simon,
I can't see a spot for sponsors on the front page, similar to what was
done for 2007:
http://www.foss4g2007.org/
Have you got that covered?

Now includes a sponsorship page with some content

This is from the last version of the prospectus which we'll upload when
its available later this month.
I've removed the link to OCS prior to the Login & Registration links on
the submission guide page

Lorenzo - cheers for the comments - I've added the notice for existing
users. Rob, I'll look into amending the OCS forms but i rather like the
idea of assigning myself a rank - I'd like to be a commodore :)

my experience submitting...
1) Submission page
very nice and clear, I would just add the comment that the user is
or should be subscribed to "OSGeo Open Conference Sistem".
so if they've been in south africa they already have a user.
2) logging
happy to find my data registered from last submission for foss4g2009
3) writing
I like the HTML editor, you can easily add links
4) file upload
neat
ciao

The aesthetics so far are really terrific.
I'd suggest you think about what's important going forward,
and
promote some items from the sub-menus and demote others.
For example,
submitting papers and workshops should be more prominent, the
committee information less so, sponsoring should be
prominent, etc.
