Sorry for the late reply. We experience a lot of trouble with our email
server here at Laval University. It seems there is an incredible
explosion of the number of spams sent to the university. Our email
server was done during several hours these last few days. I receive then
the emails a few hours or days after they have been sent. I hope the
situation will improve soon because it is very tuff to work ... The
other side of the medal is it provides me with more time to work on
files in late ... without being disturbed by the email ring! ;-)
Dealing with the addition of a checkbox which allows to differ
submissions sent for presentations only from the one sent for
consideration in the academic track is a very good idea. Abstract could
be to my mind submited in the same online submission system as the one
used for the FOSS4G 2009 conference. Review and selection of submissions
will be made on the full papers for the academic track. Abstracts are
just requested in order to know how many full paper submissions are
expected.
Jorge and I are considering different options in order to organise the
online review of the paper. We will back to you shortly on this point.
Hope it helps,
Cheers.
