Employers now looking for Geospatial Open Standards
An
understanding of Geospatial Open Standards and Open Source technologies is becoming increasingly prevalent in job advertisements in the Geospatial Market and the upcoming international conference for Free and Open Source Software for Geospatial (FOSS4G), coming to Sydney 20-23 October 2009, is an ideal opportunity to skill up. http://2009.foss4g.org
Coastal Bays Classification Project
This was a project for EPA (Environmental Protection Authority) managed by DEH (Department for Environment and Heritage South Australia) to 1) Obtain imagery over a number of Coastal Bays in South Australia with emphasis on imagery suitable for sea grass mapping 2) Classify this imagery as to the seagrass visible on the imagery using ER mapper unsupervised classification technique.
