Dr Martin Woods, Curator of Maps at the National Library of Australia has
highlighted
the existence of a rich archive of historical imagery dating back 70 years
to 1928.
This imagery covers large parts of Australia, Papua New Guinea and
Antarctica, and are currently
held by the National Archives, Geoscience Australia, UPGS, National Library
of Australia
and several other agencies.
Please see the the following wiki page for an initiative that is trying to
collaboratively capture the
arguments that could be used to prepare a Business Case to capture and make
this invaluable data
available as a public resource.
We welcome your help and input to develop these arguments.
