Hi guys,

Just an update on Ignite Spatial, which is taking place on Weds 21st
October. At this stage there are still some places available, so please feel
free to mention Ignite Spatial at the start of FOSS4G.

Tell people to go to www.IgniteSpatial.com
<http://www.ignitespatial.com/>to sign up - the site will
automatically stop giving out tickets once they
are all gone. The list of presenters is below - a few of them are
international FOSS4G attendees.

Maurits van der Vlugt (NGIS) : Where 2.0 - GIS and the social media
Pamela Fox (Google Australia) : Collaborative mapping on Google Wave
Craig Roberts (UNSW) : GIS education - back to the future
Francisco Urbina (ESRI Australia) : What not to do on your web mapping app
César Medina (Chilean Ministry of Housing) : Open source software for urban
development
Katrina Sewell (GISjobs Australia) : Networking for GIS success
George Antonijevic (Hornsby Shire Council) : GIS and the amateur
archaeologist
Glen Bell (Clear Messages) : Pie charts are evil
Fabio Panettieri (Xoomcode) : A free and open source Spatial Cache
Rob Coup (Koordinates) : Web maps are everywhere - but what do people really
want to see?
Peter Fraser (Spatial Media) : Living in the map

Good luck with FOSS4G next week. Hopefully we can all catch up on Wednesday
night.

Cheers,
Steve
