Hi,
I'd just like to say that Australia has more sheep that NZ :-)

Subject: [Foss4g2009] Australia has attracted a lot of foss4g delegates
I've just been comparing 2009 registration figures with 2008 and 2007
and was proud to discover that Australia has a high percentage of foss4g
delegates per unit of population.
Ie, 40% more than South Africa, and 20% more than Canada.
If Australia happened to have a populous USA next door, instead of some
sheep herders, our registration figures would have been quite
impressive.
(Of note: New Zealand and Pacific Islands also punched above their
weight providing delegates, much better than USA who provide a lot of
people, but they should have 10x more.)
Liz, Ben, Maraget, John,
I really appreciate your marketing efforts during the ANZLIC roadshow
and through the Spatial at Gov email list. I think this really tipped the
balance.
(I'm rolling these figures into my Opening speech)
