[Foss4g2010] workshops

This set-up worked very well for us, but there were some issues. We
stated up-front that labs were to be hands-on, bring your own laptops,
but not all tutorials were. It would be great to allow both but specify
in the program if a laptop is required or not. We lost half our
attendees in one when they were told they'd need to follow along.

I would also be more hesitant to offer the same material in both
workshop and lab form. Workshops bring in money, so offering what
sounds like the same material for free will cut out registrants.

It should be made clear that handouts and such are optional for labs.
Workshops too for that matter. It was rather unpleasant to not offer
any support for our labs, but there just wasn't money for it. If you
could have a bag of usb sticks that lab presenters can borrow to pass
out material, that would save a lot of grief.
