Dear Volker,

We don't want to turn FOSS4G2010 into a pure "academic event". Academic
sessions will have its own track inside foss4g2010 and academic papers
will only be reviewed by the members of the academic chair. On the
contrary, the final program of general sessions will be designed based
on the public voting process, plus the evaluation from the members of
the scientific committee with the aim to combine quality & interest.

We know about the difficulty to make everyone comfortable with any
system to select the talks but we will do what we believe that can work
for the most. Obviously, any comment or suggestion will be appreciated
so, thanks for expressing your thoughts.

Thanks a lot.
Cheers,

Lluís
