I can ask OSI, but my suspicion is that this is just outside their
interest area. They don't fund software development projects directly.

Hi, Mikel,


My friend Vehrka is involved in the FOSS4G organising committee, and has asked
me during the SIG Libre conferences if the OSI would be willing to fund some
scholarships for FOSS4G.

The idea is just the same as the SotM10 scholarships: bring mappers from
around the world to the conference. The only difference is that SotM will
bring in mappers, and FOSS4G should bring in geo software developers.


So, do you think the OSI could approve this?
